Trajectory
Shot vs. vitals
The vital zone is positioned by eye against each drawing, and its size is a typical figure rather than a measurement. Drag it on the illustration to reposition it, or edit its dimensions above. Whenever elevation or windage is set to hold, the crosshair is draggable too: it marks where the rifle is pointed, not where the bullet lands. Drag it high or into the wind and let go — the shot is then solved from that aim point, and the impact moves to where the bullet would actually go. It only slides along the axes you are holding on, so holding for wind alone keeps it level.
What will do it?
Every load in the catalogue, fired from your rifle in these conditions, ranked by how far it still carries enough to kill this animal cleanly. Judged on the same thresholds as the panel above: retained energy and expansion velocity at the far end of your range band, and your group against the vital zone. Pick a row to load it into the form.
